One Day in Paris – Spellbinding and enchanting trip to Paris

Paris personifies romantic bridges illuminated by the wrought iron lamps and tree-shaded boulevards. The wicker chair-lined cafes terraces will also leave a beautiful imprint in your mind. There is no denying the fact that there is so much to explore when you visit this wonderful city. The real art is to devise a plan to utilize your time in the best possible way. You should leave no stone unturned to explore the beauty of this beautiful city. I felt the need to unwind, and I am of the opinion that Paris was the perfect holiday spot for my wife and me. Now, I understand the fact that first-time travellers are confused regarding how to go about their trip. I will give you a walkthrough into my experience so that your journey becomes more enjoyable.

Ideally, you should plan a five-day trip to Paris but sometimes it is impossible to go for such a long trip so I will tell you how to make a single day trip memorable…

Arc De Triomphe WalkSTARTING YOUR FIRST DAY IN PARIS: THE ORIENTATION WALK

When you step into the streets of Paris, then you should consider walking around Paris. I feel that there is a lot to see in Paris so why miss out on this chance. Wandering the cobblestone streets is a joyful experience that you will remember all your life. You can also opt for free walking tours. I am the sort of person who is adventurous, so I decide to embark on this quest on my own. You will love to set your eyes on the Champ Elysees. You will love to set your eyes on Arc De Triomphe. I loved the city’s grand sweeping views. Do not miss out on Place de la Concorde because you will get to see the Luxor Obelisk there. The Obelisk is about 23 metres high. It was so fascinating for me that I took loads of pictures when I set my eyes on the Obelisk. The interesting part is that there is a complete history behind the Obelisk. The Obelisk got stolen from the Egyptians, and this beauty was then brought to Paris. What is so exciting about this square is that it holds immense significance from the historic point of view also. People got guillotined in this square during the French revolution. I am a nature lover, so I got obsessed with Jardin des Tuileries also. There was a palace in this place way back in 1800, but now it transformed into a beautiful garden. I want to give a little tip here, and that is always admire things that come your way during your trip as it gives a sense of contentment. Whenever I travel I make sure that I stop and admire everything that I get to see.

I STOPPED TO ADMIRE LOUVRE.

When I came to Louvre I had one thing in mind, and that is the Louvre  Pyramid. The truth is that I could not get my eyes off this pyramid. It is a metal and glass pyramid that is designed by the Chinese Architect I.M.PEI. The interesting part is that the pyramid is surrounded by three small pyramids also. The large pyramid is more of an entrance to the Louvre museum. We did not want to miss out on this beauty. The Pyramid came into existence way back in 1984. The reason the entrance to the museum was given through the Pyramid was because there were many issues with Louvre’s main entrance, and it was not possible to handle a lot of visitors through this entrance. Once the visitors enter the pyramid, then they can move to the main lobby, and from there they can move to the different Louvre buildings.

NEXT, YOU SHOULD CONTINUE YOUR JOURNEY DOWN THE RUE RIVOLI AND CROSS INTO THE ORIGINAL CITY.

Pont Neuf - 1 Day ParisWhen you enter Île de la Cité, you will notice the fact that it is more of a natural island. It will not be wrong to say that it is the centre of the city. The historic significance of this place is that the medieval city got found in this location. I will like to give you some additional information, and that is the Romans built their initial settlement in this particular area. I am an ardent believer of the fact that old is gold. Well, this is why I preserved the memories of Pont Neuf in my camera.

What you need to know is that Pont Neuf is the oldest bridge that stands across the river Seine. Your trip will be incomplete without setting your eyes on the Gothic church. If you plan to go to the bell tower also, then I advise you to go there early; otherwise you will find a lot of lines in that place. When you are out on a trip with your family or your wife, then your main objective is to have a quality time. I suggest that you spend some memorable time in Jardin du Luxembourg. It is undoubtedly one of the best parks in this city.

ENJOYING THE BRUNCHING SPOT: CAFÉ CASSETTE

No trip is complete without food. After the orientation walk, you should sit down for a mouth-watering brunch. I am the sort of person who does not go for heavy meals when travelling, and I suggest the same. We ordered onion soup and croissant. We finished off our lunch with a special treat, and that is hot chocolate. What I like about this Café’s food is that they have a homemade feel to their food. Plus, there service is fast so you will not have to wait for a long-time for the food.

Eiffel TOWER THE PLEASURES OF WANDER RUE CLER AND EIFFEL TOWER

Exploring eateries was our priority on the second day of the trip but we only had a day to manage everything so this is why we decided to make most of it, and visit all the exciting places in just a day. Well, this is why we made up our mind to go to Wander Rue Cler. It is close to the Eiffel Tower, so we knew that we were about to come across a fun-filled combo. The exciting element about this street is that you will come across different kinds of meats, cheese and chocolates in this street. Well, I am a food lover so walking through these streets was a lot of fun for me because I had a chance to enjoy all the different kinds of foods. Next, we went to the Eiffel Tower. I advise you to go there early morning because it can be best seen at this time. We had a small picnic on the grass once we set foot on the Eiffel Tower. We stayed there till mid-way.

RUE MOUFFETARD A TREAT FOR FOOD-LOVERS AND SHOPPING FREAKS

The shopping spree is a dream for every woman, so I did not want to deprive my wife, and this is why we made a plan to visit Rue Mouffetard also. It has outdoor markets and shops. The best part is that there are many cafés in this place.

Whenever you go out of your country, devise ways of controlling your budget. To avoid overspending, it is vital that you should be aware of all the places that will not cost you a fortune. Rue Mouffetard cafes are inexpensive, and this is one of the reasons that we had a lot of fun here.  I was stress-free that I will not have to pay a lot. If I was travelling alone, my trip would focus on museums and other exciting places, but since my wife was with me, I had a whole package planned for her. I know women have this sensitivity and aesthetic sense, so I decided to take her to Montmartre.

MONTMARTRE IS A PLACE FOR ART LOVERS.

There are artists and galleries throughout this area. It is a serene experience walking in these streets with your loved one because these streets are so quiet.

There is a church in this area also, and you can get a beautiful view of the city from the church. We took a lot of pictures in this place because we knew that we will cherish these memories our entire life. I can understand that by now, you must be enthusiastic about visiting Paris. However, I will like to give you some tips to make your trip memorable. I suggest that you indulge in detailed research before going to Paris. If you are clueless about the places, you will miss out on my breath-taking places. Secondly, get a rough approximate about the hotel costs before your visit, so that you do not have any surprises coming your way in terms of the budget also.

I can promise you one thing, and that is the scenic beauty of Paris will last in your mind all through the lifetime. Do take out time to visit this wonderful city and you will have no regrets.
